Job Placements Up Despite Sluggish economy.

So far this year, Goodwill/Easter Seals is proud to report that we on track to exceed our job placement goals for 2010.  Last year at this time, we had placed 585 individuals in jobs and helped with 70 career advancements. Already this year we have placed 765 (90% of our goal) people in new jobs and helped 112 individuals achieve career advancements.

Working in partnership with their Employment/Support Consultants, our participants submit applications, polish their résumés, prepare for interviews and brush up their job skills. In addition, our staff works hard to forge strong relationships with employers and educate hiring partners about our comprehensive programs and well-prepared participants. These relationships give our participants a head-start in the job hunt. We’re proud to report that the participants’ dedication along with the commitment of our staff, has been a winning combination this year.

In a still sluggish economy, finding work for anyone is difficult, yet our participants have proven that hard work and perseverance pays off.  With one quarter left in our fiscal year, we have no doubt we’ll exceed our goal and help even more individuals find success and independence through the power of work.
