FATHER Project leader recognized

Goodwill/Easter Seals Minnesota’s FATHER Project Manager Guy Bowling was invited to attend the Center for Urban Families (CFUF) National Practitioners’ Leadership Institute, where he can grow his network and expertise in areas such as responsible fatherhood, family stability, workforce development and black male achievement. As one of the nation’s leading advocates for responsible fatherhood, the CFUF recently launched the National Practitioners’ Leadership Institute Academy to improve the lives of low-income fathers and families on a national level.

The Academy is designed connect practitioners with national field experts, different program models and best practices. For eight months, participants will contribute to monthly skills-based webinars, two regional roundtables, monthly conference calls and an annual summit.

Bowling was also recently recognized as a 2012 Spirit of Fatherhood Hall of Fame Inductee.
