ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Man extending hand out to give a handshake welcomeAs part of our mission to eliminate barriers to work and independence, Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to share their time and talent as a volunteer mentor.  Mentors assist adult participants in our programs that include:

  • Automotive and Construction Training;
  • ReEntry, which serves individuals with criminal backgrounds; and/or
  • Ramsey County Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) which serves families receiving county assistance.

GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES

We offer one-on-one and group mentoring options during daytime and evening hours. Volunteer mentors and participant mentees may attend group mentoring which occurs weekly at our main office. Financial literacy, overcoming barriers, parenting and other topics chosen by participants are discussed in group mentoring meetings. Mentors and mentees may also be matched individually and will work together for six to nine months on specific goals, such as securing employment, healthy relationships and/or money management.
