GIVS is a volunteer-driven fundraising group. Its members plan events in support of the GIVS Emergency Fund – an important source of added support for Goodwill/Easter Seals Minnesota participants, who are facing barriers to employment success. The Emergency Fund makes it possible for many participants to receive a range of short-term assistance, including medical and dental care, interview attire, transportation vouchers and rental assistance.
GIVS volunteers share their time and talent in various ways, including coordination of vintage shows and jewelry sales.
GIVS Annual Jewelry Donation Drives and Jewelry Sales
GIVS volunteers coordinate jewelry drives and sales at various corporations, businesses and GIVS functions and events. Gently-used jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, cuff links and pins) are accepted through donations and are sold at jewelry sales throughout the year. All of the money raised from the jewelry sales assists participants in Goodwill/Easter Seals training programs. Volunteer and host a donation sale!

Each show highlights historical facts of interest related to a particular era, while volunteers model authentic clothing, hats, shoes and accessories – donated over several decades to the Goodwill vintage fashion collection. Today, our collection includes more than 500 items from 1880 – 1990.
We offer both standard and customized fashion shows up to 60 minutes in length. Popular themes include:
