One of the ways we advocate for Minnesotans struggling to achieve employment and independence is by visiting the capitol in St. Paul. This year we marched up those steps three times to rally and meet with our state legislators on Mental Health Day, Second Chance Day and Disability Tuesday.

All in all, we arranged for 86 staff and program participants to meet with more than 30 elected officials this legislative season. We attended committee hearings, participated in rallies, spoke in the rotunda and sat in the gallery while the legislature was in session.
