It’s that time of year: End-of-year donations
Did you know that 24% of annual giving occurs between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day (according to a study by Indiana University)? Another study suggests 12% of annual giving happens the last three days of the year (via the Digital Giving Index).

We’re quickly closing in on Thanksgiving. Between now and January 1 you probably have quite a few items on your holiday to-do list. From shopping and holiday parties to cooking meals and entertaining guests, it’s no surprise that people procrastinate when it comes to their annual giving.
Why not take this reminder as an opportunity to check off one item from your holiday to-do list? Don’t miss out on tax deductions because annual giving slipped your mind. A $14 donation to Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota can help pay for an hour of construction training for a participant. A $17 donation can pay for an hour of bank and finance training or automotive training. These skills can become careers that have the power to change someone’s life. How about clothes? A $25 donation could purchase professional clothing for someone walking into an interview and walking out with a job.
