Goodwill-Easter Seals Minesota gets 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for the seventh straight year

“Exceptional” ranking earned by only the top 2% of charities.

On November 1, Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota was notified that, for the seventh consecutive year, they had earned a 4-star ranking from Charity Navigator.

Michael Wirth-Davis, President and CEO of Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota, commented that “Receiving a 4-star ranking is a great accomplishment. To achieve those results for seven straight years shows our commitment to making a difference in the lives of our participants and the community. It’s only possible thanks to the efforts of our entire organization – our staff, volunteers, business partners and donors.”

In their announcement Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator, remarked:

“As the nonprofit sector continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, savvy donors are demanding more accountability, transparency and quantifiable results from the charities they choose to support with their hard-earned dollars. In this competitive philanthropic marketplace, Charity Navigator, America’s premier charity evaluator, highlights the fine work of efficient, ethical and open charities. Our goal in all of this is to provide donors with essential information needed to give them greater confidence in the charitable choices they make.”

“Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way.

Only 2% of the charities we rate have received at least 7 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota outperforms most other charities in America. This “exceptional” designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”
