Goodwill-Easter Seals joins the Fair Chance Business Pledge

Fair Chance Business Pledge will improve communities by eliminating barriers to work for people with criminal records

Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota announces its commitment to the national Fair Chance Business Pledge, joining major companies as a founding partner to improve communities by eliminating barriers for people with criminal records to experience the power of work.

Supporting the pledge aligns directly with our mission to eliminate barriers to work and independence. When one in four Minnesotans has a criminal record, removing barriers to gaining access to employment, training and education is critical. Our long-standing ReEntry Program helps individuals overcome the significant challenge of finding stable employment after incarceration.

Goodwill-Easter Seals also commits to the Fair Chance Business pledge every day in our fair hiring practices, through our advocacy work with organizations like the Minnesota Second Chance Coalition and at events like our Second Chance Career Fair.

Goodwill-Easter Seals supports second chances for people who are ready and willing to work and encourages other businesses and nonprofits to join us in this important effort.
