This month we are looking for someone with computer skills and a lot of patience! Gain valuable tutoring experience while assisting adult participants in our computer lab. Work with the computer lab teacher to facilitate the mastery of basic computer terminology, and assist our adult learns in basic functions, such as logging on and off of computers. Provide participants with personalized support while they learn how to use web browsers, create documents in Microsoft Word and gain keyboarding skills.
Skills needed: General computer knowledge and familiarity with basic computer functions such as web browsing, Microsoft Word, typing, etc. Interest in teaching or tutoring. High level of patience and ability to work with people who have very diverse needs including but not limited to low computer literacy, limited English language, and reading and learning disabilities.
