Are you ready to vote? Election 2016 information

Are you ready to vote?

Tomorrow is the big day! If you haven’t already participated in early voting, make sure your voice is heard and your vote counted November 8!

Here are a few quick tips and resources before you head to the polls:

  1. Find your polling place: It may have changed since the last election. http://pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us/ Polls are open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. As long as you are in line by the time the poll closes you will still be able to vote (even if you don’t cast a ballot until after 8:00 p.m.
  2. Register on election Day: In Minnesota, you can register at your polling place on the day of the election. Just make sure you have the proper identification. Find a list of accepted documents at http://www.sos.state.mn.us/elections-voting/register-to-vote/register-on-election-day/
  3. View your sample ballot: Do your research and know what is on your specific ballot before you go! Did you know that there is a constitutional amendment on the ballot this year? You can bring your completed sample ballot with you to the polls for reference. http://www.sos.state.mn.us/elections-voting/whats-on-my-ballot/
  4. You have voting rights: If you have questions about your right to vote, same-day voter registration, or encounter any problems at your polling place, call the Election Protection hotline: 1-866-OUR-VOTE or the Minnesota Disability Law Center voter helpline: 1-800-292-4150.

Remember: Your vote matters!
