We’re excited to share that Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota’s ReEntry Services program has been awarded a $1,080,000 Department of Labor grant. The grant will allow us to continue and expand services that help people with criminal records as they reenter the community and workforce.

Goodwill-Easter Seals has served formerly incarcerated people throughout its long history but started providing formal ReEntry Services in 2002. Program staff reach out to prisoners while they’re still in local, county, state and federal facilities. When these ex-offenders move into work release programs, our staff offers employment readiness training, mentoring and individual case management that help people return to the world of work.

Wondering how, specifically, the program changes lives? When coming out of his third time in prison since age 13, Jason decided to make serious changes – and discovered training and mentoring options at Goodwill-Easter Seals.
