“As I approached retirement from running my own remodeling business, I knew that I would need to have activities to fill up some of the week. I enjoy seeing the spark and energy of GESMN staff. I quickly learned that, ‘Don’t worry. We all make mistakes. You are here to learn.’ are great phrases I now use regularly.”

“When I retired from a corporate learning and development job, I thought my life would be defined by my sitting in a rocking chair and rereading favorite novels. From my very first interaction with Goodwill-Easter Seals I knew I had found something worthwhile. The participants all strive for the same successes – to take care of themselves, their families and their communities. I am a better person for these encounters and appreciate the staff and patrons of GESMN for their trust and support.”
"Being retired, I enjoy the opportunity to remain active and involved in the community. I also enjoy the interaction with the Goodwill team members. I've learned that volunteering can make a very positive impact on each and every community, and that the work put forth by volunteers is appreciated by the community."
“I have a 30 year-old son who is developmentally disabled and has had the benefit of services from many nonprofit organizations, including GESMN. I volunteer on Fridays at Second Debut and it’s very rewarding to me. I feel I’m giving back to my community and benefiting the people we serve.”
