Celebrating Women’s History Month
Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota (GESMN) believes equity initiatives are central to our mission to eliminate barriers to work and independence. This March, Goodwill stores hosted a display with curated books, CDs and movies featuring female artists and authors to celebrate Women’s History Month.
Kalia Lee and Caroline Ecker, local influencers, highlighted their favorite finds on our social media from the Maplewood and Champlin locations.
Every month, our employee-led DEI council provides resource guides to encourage teams across the organization to engage in thought-provoking discussions to help build community and relationships.
We featured the following articles and videos to help foster discussions around Women’s History Month:
- The Most Historic Moments in Women’s History in the US
- Recognizing The Roles of Women Throughout American History
- Remember the Ladies: The Importance of Women’s History
GESMN strives to reflect the communities we serve and ensure everyone feels welcomed. We celebrate that 58% of our leadership is female and 45% of our vendors are women/BIPOC owned or led.
