Train for a new Career

Through training, individuals gain skills, attitudes and work behaviors needed to assist them in finding and keeping employment. Our holistic approach takes into consideration the individual's needs, particularly those that affect their ability to obtain and maintain employment.

An industry-specific employment training program that helps individuals develop and expand skills needed to find and maintain employment.

  • Training to prepare individuals for careers within a variety of industries, including Automotive Services, Business Professional Pathways, ConstructionElectronics Soldering, IT Core Skills and Printing Industry Essentials.
  • Students earn a certificate upon meeting the graduation requirements of the course, along with placement and support services to obtain employment and career advancement.
  • GESMN no longer offers Medical Office Training. Explore our other available training opportunities below.
  • A veteran shall be given priority over a non-veteran for receipt of employment, trainings and placement of services in job training programs if the veteran meets the program’s eligibility requirements.

COLLEGE & CAREER NAVIGATION

Career navigators help people create a career pathway using education, training and support service strategies. The navigation enables individuals to get industry-relevant certifications and self-sustaining work, while advancing to higher levels of future education and employment. Details here.

 

FINANCIAL SERVICES (ST. CLOUD)

Eight weeks of hands-on training in St. Cloud and Elk River that includes job placement assistance.

  • Instruction in retail banking, customer service, sales, financial terminology, regulations, cash handling, balancing, common teller transactions and computer proficiency, industry performance expectations
  • Assistance with resumes, applications, interviewing, job search, retention and advancement
