Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota Celebrates 107 Years with Growth and Innovation

October 7, 2025

A message from President & CEO, Michael Wirth-Davis

As we enter our 107th year of creating career possibilities, and in alignment with our value of continuous improvement, innovation and growth are on the horizon this fall at Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota (GESMN).

  • Our new Career and Services Campus opens in October to meet changing labor force needs with three computer labs, expanded career training facilities and new clean technology training for solar panel installation and electric vehicle support.
  • Goodwill Waconia will open in early winter of 2026; we’re excited to create jobs in the community and steward generous donations to support our services that help connect people to careers.
  • We’re partnering with NAMI for a free workshop during National Disability Employment Awareness Month in October to help job seekers with mental health challenges get customized employment support and disability benefits planning. Get details/register.

In today’s shifting economy and labor market, a stable job is more than a paycheck — it’s security, dignity and hope.

Over 70% of the people we serve have one or more disabilities, and pairing their resilience with our support helps create brighter futures. Read how Sam tapped into his digital skills at work.

Whether someone is seeking their first job, transitioning careers after job loss or re-entering the workforce, we provide the skills, training and support needed to succeed. We remain steadfast in our vision of a world where everyone experiences the power of work as we expand our service to the community this fall.
