For almost 20 years FATHER Project has changed lives
In 2004, the FATHER (Fostering Actions To Help Earnings and Responsibility) Project became a program at Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota (GESMN) with a mission to assist fathers in overcoming barriers to support their children economically and emotionally.
Ever since then, the FATHER Project has helped thousands of fathers with services including:
- Case management
- Parenting support
- Child support services
- Father and family activities
- Employment services including GED tutoring.
FATHER Project also has a new Spanish-speaking parenting group to help fathers receive the support needed from other fathers in similar circumstances and learn practical skills in a welcoming space.
This project continues to grow and needs your help to get the funding it needs. Read more in our recent advocacy blog and hear Guy Bowling, GESMN’s senior workforce development manager at FATHER Project, on why this program is important here.
Join us in honoring these amazing fathers at our annual participant recognition celebration event on Wednesday, March 29 at 6:00 PM. RSVP today!
